This photograph at Lillian Francis McMackin’s summer home in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, dates from the early 1950s. On the left is Mary J. (Paiva) Francis, Lillian’s mother, and on the right, holding the family’s dog, is Estella (Paiva) Sylvia, a sister of Mary and Lillian’s aunt. In the foreground are two of Lillian’s sons, Robert (on the left) and Tom (on the right).
