Welcome to the Portuguese American Digital Archive!
Established in 2020, with a grant from the William M. Wood Foundation, UMass Lowell’s Portuguese American Digital Archive (PADA) collects and preserves a rich array of documents, photographs, motion pictures, sound recordings, oral histories, and many other resources associated with Portuguese immigrants and their descendants primarily in the Greater Boston Area.

Takedown policy: The Portuguese-American Digital Archive (PADA) respects the intellectual property and privacy rights of others. Please contact us at PADA@uml.edu if you have a concern about an image in the archive. Additionally, per the DMCA, PADA will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement on the Site when notified.
