Far left: Charles Santos, talks to friend, Jim O’Dea (Middlesex County D.A.) at Knights of Columbus dinner. Charles and Jim were both WWII marines who served in combat in the Pacific. They were also neighbors as young, married, post-war veterans, who lived in newly opened housing – St. Patrick’s parish area, downtown Lowell. Charles was a student at Northeastern University at the time.
