Description

The Department of Commerce Bureau of Navigation's 52nd Annual List of Merchant Vessels of the United States (1920) listed this ship as having a gross tonnage of 106 and being 101.7' in length. She was built in Gloucester in 1915.

The Elsie G. Silva schooner was later involved in an incident when it came ashore on the beach in Truro, MA. The crew of 20 men abandoned the ship and made it to shore with the help of the United States Coast Guard.
