Newspaper clippings from the 1940s regarding soldiers whose families were members of the PAWV Post 1 or who were members themselves. These clippings were compiled in a scrapbook-like format on black paper. These clippings contain stories about Pvt. Francis E. Paul, a Purple Heart recipient, and his experiences at Guadalcanal in the South Pacific, where he fought beside 30 other Peabody soldiers and suffered a shattered jaw and a severe eye; engagement announcements for Edwina Marie Espinola and Ernest Galopin, as well as Adeline Bettencourt and Joseph T. Mello; and a headline about Lieutenant Vesta's wedding.
