Portrait of Frank Aguiar, the first president of the Portuguese Benefit Society from 1904-1920. Photo taken by Fine Art Studio in Salem, MA at 157 Washington Street.

Picture was taken in the Portuguese Benefit Society by the archivist. A superstition exists around this photograph stating that if it is removed from the building, bad luck will befall the society.
