1994 Folia dos Bezerros do Campo Divino Espírito Santo, Lowell, MA

The "Folia dos Bezerros," or "Revelry of the Calves" event held in the Holy Ghost Park in Lowell, MA in 1994. This festival features livestock, primarily cows, that are dressed up and decorated for the occasion. Parade marchers play guitars and other string instruments as they walk while other participants sing along. Eventually, the Portuguese band kicks off the parade formally, which ends with the participants gathered around the musicians to sing a variety of songs as others drink and eat. At night, a live band performs on stage for an audience and the guitar performances continue. The video concludes with more footage of the live band's performance and the audience dancing along.
