Footage of the Festa de São João parade in Lowell, MA. Various community businesses and organizations, as well as community members, march in the parade, including IV Seasons and the Lowell Union of Portuguese Americans (LUPA) alongside the 1986 Rainha de São João. After the parade, the Mayor of Lowell gives a speech thanking the organizers and the Portuguese American Band and commemorates the steps the city of Lowell has taken in improving itself and representing Portuguese Americans. Another woman gives a speech about the Festa de São João and then the Rainha de São João speaks about the celebration as well.
