Date

1925-09-16

Description

Reverend Lyons states that he is sorry Bishop da Silva spent some time in the hospital. He mentions that Father O'Brien was in Canada and sends his regards. He mentions that he would be able to send him stipends regularly, and he would be happy to do so. He asks how many Bishop da Silva would need and when he wants to receive them.

He shares that the Archbishop (Edward Joseph) Hanna (native-born of Rochester) was in the city, ordaining some of the new deacons. He also informs Bishop da Silva about the new Catholic High School.

The letter was sent from Saint Augustine's rectory (reitoria de Santo Agostinho) in Rochester and was delivered to Bishop da Silva's home (New York) and resent to Saint Vincent's Hospital (hospital de São Vicente, Nova Iorque).
