Date

1910-09-28

Description

The committee extends an invite from the Archbishop of New York, John Murphy Farley, to offer hospitality to Bishop da Silva for the celebration of the consecration of the Cathedral of New York. The invite states that Bishop da Silva will stay at the house of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart (irmãs missionárias do Sagrado Coração), where Rev. Mother M. Moran is Superior.

They make a few suggestions regarding the visit and request that he brings with him a few articles of clothing: a house cassock, a purple cassock and cincture, a purple ferraiolo, a rochet, a purple mantelletta, a purple biretta and a skull cap. The letter is signed by members of the reception committee.
