Bishop Conaty expresses his appreciation for the work that Bishop da Silva has carried out in this diocese, to the benefit of the Portuguese Catholics. He emphasizes the pleasure he had spending time with him in the bishopric, lamenting that he had to depart and hoping that he will see him again.
