Location unknown (likely Wellesley College). Florence K. Filipek, pictured here with Lillian (right), was born in New Bedford in 1914. Der parents immigrated from Poland (mother Katherine in 1894, father Sebastian in 1903), and settled in New Bedford. Both parents were textile mill workers. Florence graduated from high school and worked as a clerk in the office of a textile mill, prior to marrying. She died in 1996.
