This records book keeps track of the parishioners at Saint Anthony's Church in Lowell, MA. Lists include:
- "Desobriga da Quaresma": These parishioners were excused from the fasting from meat during lent, in exchange for a donation to the Church. This tradition was very popular within the Madeiran community.
- "Primeira Communhão" - List of children completing their First Communion.
- "Chrisma Administrado" - List of parishioners who were anointed by a visiting religious leader.
The letter at the end was found tucked into the back cover of the book.
